At Canvas Christian Church, we believe that growth happens through relationships, and not only do those relationships impact you but also others around you. It is one reason Paul calls the Church a body with many members. We are here for each other. Therefore, we offer many opportunities for you to grow amid a community of people passionately seeking Jesus—folks who serve each other and are being served.
Canvas desires that everyone, regardless of age, thrives in their relationship with Christ. For this reason, we do not believe there is such a thing as a passive believer—one who sits on the sideline or is dormant in the body of Christ. We work with every member to ensure that they are actively participating, using the gifts that God has given them to fulfill the good works that he has uniquely designed for them to accomplish.
Discipleship is at the core of everything we do at Canvas. We believe that faithfulness to the Gospel requires obedience of each believer, and it includes making other disciples. To this end, we offer various discipleship groups across North Georgia where we can be a church on mission, a church modeled after Acts 2. These groups meet regularly, and anyone can join at any time.
Canvas offers an assortment of Bible studies and book studies to help you in your pursuit of knowing Scripture and applying it faithfully. These studies are designed to meet on a regular cadence and around a specific book or topic. Additionally, some studies are geared to a distinct age group or gender, while others are not. Regardless, we seek to offer a place for everyone to learn and grow.
Life is the best teacher, and to that end, everyone has something to offer. Whether you are just starting out as a newlywed or have been an empty nester for years, there are those who come behind you and can benefit from your experiences and wisdom. At Canvas Christian Church, we seek to connect individuals—youth and adults alike—so that people can glean from each other’s life experiences. Through these relationships, we accelerate growth and nurture biblical wisdom and maturity.
At Canvas, we believe serving is an essential component of personal growth. From humility to gratefulness and so much in between, we learn many lessons through serving others. For this reason, we offer many different types of opportunities to serve each other and our community. We seek to live beyond and make an impact outside the walls of our buildings—to be the Church to our community.
