Christ has given his Church a mandate to make disciples of all nations, baptizing and teaching them to be obedient. So the question isn’t should you go, but where? Canvas Christian Church views missions, whether local, domestic, or foreign, as a natural overpouring of the Holy Spirit’s work in a disciple’s life. Bringing the love of Christ to others, no matter their race, religion, or location, is not something we are forced to do, but rather, we are compelled.
Whether it’s in the heart of Appalachia or across the western plains on an Indian reservation, there are many people close to us who have real, tangible needs and deserve hope. Canvas Christian Church provides mission opportunities through our own initiatives or by partnering with other organizations to meet these needs and share the love and hope of Jesus Christ.
Canvas Christian Church considers serving the needs of those less fortunate both a privilege and a responsibility, and we desire to be good stewards of every blessing he has given us. Therefore, Canvas has organized mission trips around the globe to meet needs, heal the broken and disheartened, and share the love of Jesus in tangible ways. We humbly serve as the hands and feet of Jesus.
