God has blessed Canvas Christian Church with fantastic people who possess tremendous hearts, and those hearts are united for a single purpose. We are passionate about serving each other and our community. We have many opportunities within Canvas that enable us to serve faithfully and effectively. Some of those opportunities are listed below; many others are not. However, we have a place for everyone to get involved and encourage everyone to do so.
At Canvas, we believe that part of maturing as a disciple of Jesus means serving in one capacity or another. Jesus has given his church an assortment of gifts and capabilities. He has called us to work together as a single body. Therefore, we work with each member to ensure they are serving somewhere within their gifting and passion.
Everything Canvas does is saturated in prayer, and therefore, we consider this team the most critical of areas to serve. They pray through the service for all those participating, and they are available to pray 24/7 for our members and our community, as needed. It is essential that everyone feels welcomed and valued when they step through our doors. We desire that our visitors know how honored we are by their presence, and we hope they feel at home. The First Impressions team is responsible for hosting our guests and helping them find their way around. They answer any questions and ensure that their needs are met. For our First Impressions team, it is all about providing the finest hospitality for our visitors.
Canvas enjoys a contemporary worship service while maintaining many traditional elements. Within the service, we have three primary teams where you can serve—band, choir, or tech, managing our audio-visual systems. These team members are incredibly valuable to our Sunday experiences.
