Our core values help youth members identify who they are as a congregation. These values will galvanize and focus our students on the strategy to accomplish goals both individually and as a team.
Character
We will demonstrate an attitude that represents Christ and manifests the fruit of one walking in accordance with the Holy Spirit. (Galatians 5:22-23; Romans 8:14)
Resilient
We will defy all odds and face every trial with confidence, not allowing anyone to minimize the impact or influence that we have as children of God and ambassadors of the Gospel. (1 Timothy 4:12)
Integrity
We will operate in a manner worthy of the Gospel by doing all things with integrity and trustworthiness as if working for the Lord. (Proverbs 10:9; Colossians 3:23)
Selfless Service
We will serve others willfully with love and joy as Christ has modeled for his Church. (1 Corinthians 13; Philippians 2:3-11)
Excellence
We will perform all tasks and honor every responsibility as an act of worship in order that Christ may be reflected in our efforts. (Matthew 5:16; Romans 12:2)
The students meet simultaneously as the adults, but in a separate room, during the Sunday service. It is an opportunity for youth who have a relationship with Jesus or are trying to learn about Jesus to unite in worship through singing, bible study, and practical teaching.
“Beyond” is an opportunity for students to dig deeper and understand their faith and beliefs going beyond the surface. Each student will be able to shape their relationship with God while developing biblical literacy to express the love of Jesus Christ and help influence the community through genuine care and support and enlarging the kingdom.
At Canvas Christian Church, we strive to instill character into the next generation through their love for God, themselves, their family, and their community. In order to do this, our program is constructed upon four primary “pillars” (or objectives, realms) of ministry.
