• cANVAS covid-19 updates 5/18/20

Thank you Canvas for BEING THE CHURCH during this pandemic! You have continued to give to Ministry, serve those around you, and connect with the church during this time. We know that worshipping online has been a challenge, and we know that many of you are anxious to return to in person services. We miss you all so much, but also want to make sure that we are following God’s guidance and keeping our people safe and healthy.

The shelter in place order for the medically fragile and those 65 and older expires on June 12th. In accordance with this mandate, and to have time to get supplies needed as well as a cleaning schedule established, we will begin opening our facility for in-person services on Sunday, June 14th with the guidelines in STEP 1 of our “Back to Church Plan” enforced. We will remain in Step 1 until we feel it is safe to move to Step 2. We will keep you updated on what Step we are currently in as a church.

Thank you for your prayers and please continue to pray for our church, our church leadership, and our country during this time.

  • CANVAS COVID-19 updates 5/1/20

At Canvas Christian Church, we are dedicated to keeping you as up to date as possible as we go through these uncertain times. We promise to keep you informed of the decisions that the leadership at Canvas are making regarding our worship services.

We have decided to continue with ONLINE ONLY services at 9:30 and 11:00am each Sunday until the end of May. We will re-evaluate at the beginning of June. Youth and children will continue to connect as they have been, and D Groups can begin meeting at the church starting May 17th.

As much as we long to be back together as a church body and want to see everyone, we need to lean on the side of caution and keep everyone safe and healthy.  We will be continually evaluating when we will have “in person” services and will keep you posted on any new information.  Regardless of what other churches may decide to do, we will make our decision on behalf of our Canvas family.  We are very fortunate that we have the ability to have our services live streamed and are so thankful that you – as well as many others across the nation – continue to be a part of the services each week.

This situation will pass in time and we need to be patient and strong as we go through this storm.  We do not feel that it is worth the risk of meeting together too soon just because that is what we want.  We look forward to the time that we all come back together healthy and safe and we will have a special time of celebration on that day!

The staff and leadership are always here for you and praying for each of you daily.

Please join us ONLINE on Sunday mornings for LIVE STREAMED services at 9:30 and 11:00.
